This is the second year we've kayaked the flooded pasture area just past Cinnamon Ridge composting facility during spring runoff of the Thompson River . It's really fun going down the passages between partially submerged trees and bushes, and over the barbed wire fences. It's also adjacent to one of our favourite walking paths from the airport along the top of the dike.

To get to the parking area drive west on Tranquille Road until the Y intersection just before the crossing over the CN railroad. Take the road to the left and the parking lot is right there.

Mount Mara - a favourite hike!
