It was reported this morning that the cloud cover was limited to the valley, so after lunch we checked the webcam on the Overlander Ski Club website and confirmed it - sunshine up there! We parked at the entrance gate to Lac le Jeune Provincial Park, put on our snowshoes, grabbed the poles and headed down the hill to the frozen lake. After walking along the shore of the park for a ways, we decided to trek across the lake to the road bridge that divides the lake in two. There was what appears to be open water under the bridge so we kept well kept well back from it. After crossing the road to the other side, we walked up to the reeds that dot the shoreline which we enjoy in the summer from our kayaks. Once back at the park we followed the snowmobile tracks down one of the campsite lanes and through a couple of campsites.
Was great to be in the sun throughout this afternoon. Included in the pictures is the wall of cloud that appeared as we descended back to Kamloops. Enjoy the pictures!
